This piece focuses on competitions that will name their state 15s champions this fall. Stay tuned for championship 7s and more social/developmental 7s circuits occurring this fall. Feel free to message Jackie Finlan with updates.

CHAMPIONSHIP 15s

Wisconsin and Michigan are the two states that play their regular and championship 15s seasons in the fall.

Wisconsin is well organized and info forward. Follow this long-time-running Wisconsin Girls Rugby blog for inarguably the most up-to-date info on the season and archives dating back to 2007. Also, Badger Kings Media is all over the state and gives lots of love to the girls’ game. There are nine teams in play this fall:

• Jeff Noe Conference (5): Divine Savior Holy Angels HS, Green Bay Banshees, Stevens Point Area HS, Bruisers, Madison Furies
• Tony Oliver Conference (4): Catholic Memorial HS, Hamilton HS, DSHA HS JV, Fox Cities

The Jeff Noe teams play each other once during the regular season, which began Sept. 13, and wraps up Oct. 11. The Tony Oliver teams also play each other once, and then one other team twice to get the same number of regular-season games that the Jeff Noe teams play. Playoffs are Oct. 18 in Cottage Grove, and the finals are Oct. 26 at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.

These updates are being publicly communicated through this Rugby Michigan Facebook page. Playoffs are Nov. 8-9.
