The American Collegiate Rugby Association (ACRA) contested its quarterfinals in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and the field will reassemble for semifinals Sunday. The two 2-0 teams will then meet on Saturday, Dec. 4 in Matthews, N.C., alongside the CRAA DI Fall Championship (the finalists of which will be named tomorrow as well).

The New England Wide conference has two members in the semifinals. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy established a 20-0 lead against Colorado School of Mines, scoring three tries through Amanda Konieczny and a fourth through Alex Sinkov. The Rocky Mountain champion then got into rally mode and put Christina Baker (2) and Marion Hohn into the try zone. Marissa Shigio made two conversions and a third would have afforded a win, 20-19 the final.

Vermont defeated Tri-State’s Fairfield University 52-20. Former USA U20 Eagle Clara Lemal-Brown scored three tries and Gabby Viale and Katie Loberti accounted for two apiece. Alta Godfrey, Annabelle Collins and Ana Oteri added a try apiece, and Godfrey kicked one conversion. Fairfield spread out its four tries, as Cassie Pearce, Grace Harasimowicz, Delanie Hall and Ashley Mooney contributed five points each.

Tri-State will have its representative in the semifinals, as host Vassar College topped Colby College 53-5 today. Emily Howell led the whole field with six tries on the day, while Hannah Charlson, Kira Nolan, Claire Zickl also scored. Nolan (2), Zicki and Marie Claire Cicenia kicked the extras. Colby prevented the shutout with an Annika Chiang-Boeckmann try.

Mid-Atlantic champion Temple University also extends its run after eliminating Colorado Mesa University 43-12 today. Miranda Kenny and Mariama Sohna scored twice apiece, and back of the match Erin Phelan, Patrice Musoke and Imani Baptiste scored once each. Backs captain Pippa Barratt kicked four conversions.
