Mason Dixon QFs Set

Due to Temple University’s forfeit to Kent State this Saturday, the Mason Dixon DI quarterfinals have been set.

On March 18-19, the conference’s North and South pool teams will contest crossover quarterfinals, with the higher seed hosting. The following weekend, March 25-26, Virginia Women’s Rugby (UVA) will host the semifinals and final.

The final Mason Dixon finishes in each pool:

SOUTH

1. UVA 4-0

2. Virginia Tech 3-1

3. UNC 2-2

4. East Carolina 1-3

5. North Carolina State 0-4

NORTH

1. James Madison 3-0

2. Kent State 2-1

3. Pittsburgh 1-2

4. Temple 0-3

March 18-19

Conference Quarterfinals

Temple (N#4) @ UVA (S#1)

UNC (S#3) @ Kent State (N#2)

East Carolina (S#4) @ James Madison (N#1)

March 25: Conference Semifinals

March 26: Championship & 3rd Place

The DI Elite/DI regional championship (Round of 16) follows. At present, the Mason Dixon conference has been allotted three seeds to the Round of 16, which begins April 22-23 and will be contested at four sites (Life, Penn State, Stanford, UC Davis). Brackets are subject to change in the interest of competitive balance, but at present, the Mason Dixon champion is slated to compete at Life University, and the runner-up and third-place teams are slated for the Penn State location.
