HS Nationals Update

Tomorrow, March 15, is the deadline to register for the Girls High School National Championship, which occurs May 19-20 in Elkhart, Ind. The deposit deadline is April 1, although the organizing committee encourages interested teams to reach out, as there is some flexibility.

In particular, the organizing committee is looking for Midwest club teams to participate in the home venue, and DII teams are welcome. For more information, visit http://hsgirlsrugbynationals.club/ or go straight to the registration page for an idea of what information is required to apply.

The club high school championship is occuring in conjunction with the single-school national championship, which contests its games from May 20-21 at the Moose Rugby Grounds. There will be DI and DII brackets, and 12 teams have confirmed (below). The tournament can accommodate four more teams and is working with a handful of programs at present.

Broken Arrow HS – Oklahoma Champion

Catholic Memorial HS – Wisconsin Finalist

DSHA HS – Wisconsin Champion

Grandville HS – Michigan Champion

Kahuku HS – Hawaii Champion

McMinn County HS – Tennessee Champion, 7s/15s

Oak Creek HS – Wisconsin 3rd (15s), Champion (7s)

Orchard Park HS – New York Champion

Penn HS – Indiana 3rd, National D2 Champion

St. Joseph Academy – National & Ohio champions

State College HS – Pennsylvania Champion

Warsaw HS – Indiana Champion
