MW Championships Bigger Than ’16

DSHA is the reigning Midwest champion

At present, 20 teams have committed to the Girls High School Midwest Championship, which occurs April 29-30 in Elkhart, Ind. The tournament also helps seed teams for the single-school national championship (also in Elkhart) three weeks later.

The list includes state finalists, veterans of nationals, as well as junior varsity squads from the deeper programs. The lineup also sees the return of two states that have been absent from recent tournaments. Hopkins represents Minnesota, and Michigan state champion Grandville has committed. Wisconsin (7) and Ohio (6) currently have the most representatives:
