The Girls’ High School National Championships are nearing, and event information is nearly finalized. The high school club competition (“club”) will be contested on Friday-Saturday, May 19-20, and the single-school competition (“school”) will be contested Saturday-Sunday, May 20-21. Both championships will occur at the Moose Rugby Grounds in Elkhart, Ind.

As details evolve, refer to THIS DOCUMENT for updates on seedings, schedules and livestream.

The school championships include 12 teams – eight in Division 1 and four in Division 2. The D1 competition follows a standard format, where quarterfinal winners are funneled into the championship final four, and quarterfinal losers are routed into the 5th place semifinals (CLICK HERE for a visual). All teams will play three games on the weekend.

SCHOOL QUARTERFINALS

Divine Savior Holy Angels (Wisc.) v McMinn Tribe (Tenn.)

Warsaw (Ind.) v Orchard Park (N.Y.)

Catholic Memorial (Wisc.) v State College (Pa.)

St. Joseph (Ohio) v Kahuku (Hawaii)

The D2 school bracket is a round robin between Broken Arrow (Okla.), Grandville (Mich.), Oak Creek (Wisc.) and Penn (Ind.), and standings will determine the victor.

The club championships include 12 teams – eight in Division 1 and four in Division 2. Seeding is forthcoming, but the following teams are competing:

Brookfield (Wisc.)

Fallbrook (Calif.)

Hopkins (Minn.)

KC United (Mo.)

Land Park (Calif.)

Morris (N.J.)

North Bay (Md.)

Pleasanton (Calif.)

Sacramento (Calif.)

South Bay (Calif.)

United (Utah)

West End (Va.)

Danville Lady Oaks (Calif.) and Kent Crusaders (Wash.) have abstained from this year’s club championship. The former is enduring a rebuilding year, while the latter is struggling with numbers.

Halves are 22-and-a-half minutes long, with the exception of the school and club championship finals, which are 30 minutes long. There is no overtime (tied games will be decided by kicks), but the two championship matches will contest two five-minute, sudden-death periods in the event of a tie. Games on the BLUE field will be live-streamed (details to come).
