GLENDALE, CO (August 18, 2021) – USA Rugby today announced exciting news as the USA Women’s XVs National Team will return to test match rugby and take on Canada for a two-match set at Infinity Park in Glendale, CO. The top-ten ranked nations will clash on November 1st and 5th at 6pm MT and officially kick off the USA Women’s Eagles autumn tour. Tickets to both matches will be available in September, however fans can register for the exclusive presale to earn early access to seats and in-stadium experiences now.
Coming after a near two-year hiatus from test match rugby, the Women’s Eagles will look to earn a little reprisal against their rival to the north after two losses to Canada in November 2019. Following three daily training assemblies and a handful of intra-squad Stars vs Stripes matches over the last year, the Eagles are slated to do exactly that. As has been the case for many years, the border battle between these top ranked teams is always a marquee matchup. Currently ranked #6 in the world, the United States will come out hungry for an upset against #3 Canada and carry momentum into their matchup with #1 England later in November.
“We are very pleased to finally get home test matches back on the schedule for the fifteens program,” said Director of Women’s High Performance, Emilie Bydwell, “Daily Training Environments have been a crucial part of Rugby World Cup preparations and keeping momentum, however quality tests against top nations are quintessential as we near the one-year mark to New Zealand. Having that opportunity in front of family, friends and fans at home is exciting. Expect these two matches to be as energetic as test match rugby can be.”
Tickets to both matches will be available for purchase in September, however fans can currently sign up for the exclusive presale to earn first access to tickets and in-stadium experiences.
