The U.S. Women’s National Team must raise $200,000 in 2021 in preparation for next year’s 15s Rugby World Cup. At present, the Eagles are in Glendale, Colo., for the summer Daily Training Environment (DTE), a month-long commitment that is incredibly valuable and also costly for individuals. The USA 15s is in its third DTE since fall 2020, and there are currently no test matches this calendar year.
Project Rugby Love has created a limited edition t-shirt with all proceeds going to XV Foundation, which directly supports the players. These monies will assuage the heavy financial burden that accrues in a mostly pay-to-play sport; everything from the cost of travel and camp fees, to stipends for lost wages.
