SARC Adds 6 Teams

The South Atlantic Rugby Conference (SARC) is a new collegiate competition that is poised to debut in the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR). Eleven schools joined in the first wave of membership, and today SARC announced another six schools for a total of 17 programs from Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

New members University of Georgia (Ga.), Kennesaw State (Ga.), Radford University (Va.), University of Richmond (Va.) and Virginia Military Institute (Va.) will expand SARC’s Small College and Open divisions. NCR contests 15s in the fall and hosts its national championship in December, and then plays 7s in the spring with the championship in late April.
