For the next eight weeks, members of USA Rugby’s four senior national teams will lead home workouts every Thursday at 1 PM ET, to raise money for charities who support those impacted by COVID-19. Each workout runs roughly 20 minutes on facebook.com/usarugby.

Players will donate their time and expertise to lead each fitness routine; and in exchange, participants are asked to donate $5 for each session they join to COVID-19 relief through the ‘Workouts with the Eagles’ campaign on GIVZ. The donation page lives at bit.ly/RUGBYGIVZ.

The GIVZ platform allows individuals to choose from up to 15 different charities who all support various issues related to the pandemic. From feeding families with lost income to providing more PPE to health workers, dollars will go directly to each charity in the hope of creating a widespread impact to combat the many burdens of COVID-19.

Workouts with the Eagles will begin this Thursday, April 23 with a full body session led by USA Men’s National Team XVs player Hanco Germishuys.

The full schedule of workouts is as follows:

Thursdays at 1 PM ET | USA Rugby’s Facebook LIVE

  • April 23 | Hanco Germishuys
  • April 30 | Abby Gustaitis
  • May 7 | Bryce Campbell
  • May 14 | Martin Iosefo with The Iron Pineapple
  • May 21 | Carlin Isles
  • May 28 | Carly Waters
  • June 4 | Kate Zackary
  • June 11 | Nana Fa’avesi

Reminders for each workout will be posted on USA Rugby’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels each week.
