Look for Eagles in the Women’s Elite 7s division / Photo: Alex Ho
The Women’s Elite division at the LVI 7s is looking ridiculous this year, in the best way possible. Sixteen teams are currently registered, and the field includes international teams, the USA Falcons, several National Development Academies (NDAs), and one brave college, which has title-contending potential.

USA pool players and 7s residents have been placed on various teams, so that, too, kicks up the competitive level. Last year, the Falcons played the Aussie Pearls in an isolated series.
There are a couple of teams looking for a few extra players. Scion is traveling with 17 and collaborating with Rogue Samurai Elite to form a second side in the elite division. Scion coach Joanne Liu has space for three more players, and interested parties should contact the NDA founder at joanneliu22@gmail.com.
