SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – During the Women’s Eagles Sevens Captain’s Run, Kelsi Stockert sustained a minor upper body injury that will force her to miss Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018. Stockert was originally intended to replace Alev Kelter.
In her stead, Kelly Griff has flown to San Francisco and joined the team in time for their first match against China at 12:34 PM PT on NBC Sports Gold. Griff last appeared with the Women’s Sevens at the 2018 Kitakyushu Sevens tournament.
