As previously stated (read more), The Rugby Breakdown (TRB) will continue operations through Saturday, May 5 before evaluating whether the site has the potential to financially support a full-time employee. The key determinant is whether the annual subscription goal reaches 40%. It’s currently at 33% with two days to go.

Since creating TRB in January 2016, I’ve written the majority of the 1,400 articles that cover girls and women’s rugby in the U.S. Compare that with the attention that USA Rugby bestows on its women’s competitions. At the time of print, there is virtually no promotion of the women’s college-centric showcase that kicks off Friday morning. TRB on the other hand has been reporting: See for yourself. And that’s what readers get for their subscription: Original reportage and attention rooted in general interest.
If the site doesn’t continue on, then it’s been an honor conversing and working with the fellow KoolAid drinkers. Go forward!
