DII Spring College Ranking #4

John Brown got its first win of the spring half of the season.

The fourth edition of the DII Spring College Ranking includes many forfeits, but there were still some important results that moved the list around.

The big result came out of the Gold Coast and saw Claremont College defeat reigning conference champion UC Irvine 70-15. Foxes fullback Alexander Parker led all point scorers with 35 on five tries and five conversions, while flyhalf Joey Yamada also scored four tries. Claremont is now the distinct leader in SoCal.

John Brown matrix match against Missouri was officially ruled a forfeit due to numbers, but the teams got some field time in with four quarters of 10s. John Brown is feeling more confident in its second competitive season and has good support in its numbers. Read more.

Queens University of Charlotte, which was ranked seventh and undefeated in the Carolinas league, has withdrawn from the 15s season and thus removed from the ranking. The Royals are shifting gears to 7s.
