The Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, N.J., will serve as host for the 16 men’s and women’s nationals teams. They’ll contest 40 total matches en route to naming series champions, and then the new, three-stage championship series will begin in Hong Kong, then Valladolid (Spain) and Bordeaux (France). See the full HSBC SVNS schedule.

Keep in mind that only the USA Women’s 7s Team will feature in Harrison, N.J., as the men’s team is currently competing in Tier 2. Their circuit travels through Nairobi, Kenya (Feb. 14-15), Montevideo, Uruguay (March 21-22) and São Paulo, Brazil (March 28-29) before linking up with the SVNS Championship series.

The 2026 U.S. stop is significant because it’s the first time that the series is on the East Coast. The earliest iterations of the USA 7s tournament occurred in Carson, Calif., before shifting south to San Diego, and then enjoying a long stint in Las Vegas. The final rotation was a return to Carson for the last few years. Weather was obviously a major factor in the selection of venues, and the Northeast is still very much in winter come mid-March. However, it’s a worthy experiment, heading to a more densely populated region to see how the rugby and international crowds support the event. Perhaps if this event goes well, the beloved amateur invitational that ran alongside the international tournament will also return.
