Chicago Tempest, ‘Fall in Love With Progress’

Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) kicked off its inaugural season with two matches this past weekend, and in both cases, the visiting sides returned home the wins. First, the Boston Banshees edged New York Exiles 29-27 in injury time, and then the Twin Cities Gemini beat the Chicago Tempest 20-15. In terms of opening-weekend drama, the league could not have asked for two more compelling performances. [lead photo: Melissa Paz's Photography @melpazphotos34]
