St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kan., has a successful boys’ rugby program, which head coach Tim Kluempers founded in 2007. He long supported the formation of a girls’ team and pre-emptively agreed to coach it, so long as someone rallied the student body for numbers.
