Vassar College won the 2021 Collegiate Rugby Association of America (CRAA) Division II Fall Championship, but defending said title wasn’t a stated goal at the beginning of the 2022 season. There were lots of new players learning the game, returners embracing new roles, and opponents waiting to test the Poughkeepsie, N.Y., school. But Vassar hit its competitive stride just in time for playoffs and secured a repeat berth to the CRAA Fall Classic, Dec. 3-4, in Matthews, N.C.
