The Liberty Rugby Club won the Rugby Washington (Rugby WA) girls’ high school championship for the first time ever, but that title run wasn’t the prime topic for Shannon Nielsen. The team’s first and only head coach has dedicated her life to cultivating a safe, respectful and fun home for young rugby players, and the fact that a trophy has now entered the team’s legacy is a bonus.
