Prior to the pandemic, the Montana girls’ high school rugby league moved from 15s to 7s to accommodate dropping numbers. This past spring, however, the state pushed to restore the traditional version of the game, which attracts a wider cross-section of the athlete population. There were some growing pains, as expected in a transition year, but 15s is trying to make its comeback.
