DIII Lets Portland Grow in the Right Directions

Sometimes relegation to a lower division is the right move, and that is proving to be the case for the Portland Rugby Football Club women’s+ team. After two tough seasons in New England Rugby Football Union (NERFU) Division II, the Maine team was routed to Division III for the 2024-25 season. But positives have been realized, and Portland is eager to enrich this year’s lessons with a trip to the Atlantic Super Regional Championship in May 2025. [All photos: Charlie Phillips]
