Thunderbirds Playing College Rugby

Midwest High School Thunderbird head coach Garrett Fisher has been keeping track of the players who have participated in the regional all-star program and then continued into collegiate rugby (see below). The following list includes players in NIRA (the NCAA varsity league), USA’s Rugby DI Elite and Division I, and NSCRO.

“We don’t claim or believe we ‘made’ these players,” Fisher honored the many factors that influence an athlete’s success. “The players did the hard work. We just helped them get more exposure from playing with better players, against higher-level competition, and possibly putting them in contact with coaches.”
