USA Rugby Women’s National Team Head Coach Jack Hanratty and staff have named the 32-player squad to represent the Eagles in the upcoming 2026 Pacific Four (PAC4) Series. This PAC4 series marks the first competitive outing under newly appointed head coach Hanratty.
“This is an incredibly unique time for this program,” said Hanratty. “We are entering year 1 of a new journey with new players, coaches, and staff moving forward together – working collaboratively with the chance to put our work on the home stage in three different USA Rugby communities – against some of the best countries of the world.
“We’re excited to explore the game, challenge ourselves – and most importantly – compete,” he continued. “Our aim is to of course win matches, but whatever the final score, understanding the wins and losses of each aspect of the game to identify key learnings moving forward.”

“A lot of recognizable stalwarts from the Eagles have retired post-Rugby World Cup, and a couple more are unavailable due to injury, but this gives new athletes a huge opportunity to put their hand up and show who they are and be a part of the new ‘we.’
“We look forward to connecting, learning and sharing the journey with the USA Rugby community across the United States as we begin creating, developing and celebrating a uniquely Eagles style of rugby.”
Hanratty will be joined at the helm by assistant coach and defensive tacticalist Sarah Chobot who returns to the set-up bringing an illustrious USA Rugby resume. Chobot has served as assistant coach to the Women’s Eagles since 2024 after achieving 25 caps herself in the USA Eagles jersey, as well as recently leading the Denver Onyx to secure the 2025 Women’s Elite Rugby championship as head coach. Fresh perspectives from Lou Meadows (formerly Red Roses), Jon Humphreys (WRU) and Head of Athletic Performance Tom Clough (Ulster Rugby) round out the coaching set-up.

Holding the Eagles guard, veterans Lotte Sharp, Alev Ketler, Georgie Perris-Redding and Hope Rogers return with Rogers still amassing caps having already achieved platinum status as the most-capped player in USA Women’s Eagles history (59). Rogers will return to the scene of her 50th milestone in Kansas City’s CPKC Stadium in front of an attendance record sure to get decimated.
Ruled out for selection, stalwarts Kate Zackary and Gabby Cantorna are forced to sit out the series having sustained significant injuries during their professional season in the Premiership Women’s Rugby. While both absences are a loss on the pitch, Zackary and Cantorna remain an integral part of the team’s leadership while they rehab toward joining the squad later this season.
RWC standouts Erica Jarrell-Searcy, Freda Tafuna, Hallie Taufoou, Kathryn Treder, Keia Mae Sagapolu Sanele, Paige Stathopoulos and Tahlia Brody in the forwards pack; with Bulou Mataitoga, Cass Bargell, Emily Henrich, Erica Coulibaly and Olivia Ortiz return in the back line. USA fans can look forward to seeing them in person across the three series stops, while being first to witness the uncapped talent ready to make their mark on the international stage.

The fresh momentum USA fans can expect to see on display from all 32 players involved in the PAC4 Series set up will set the tone and drive as the Eagles prepare to kick off the series April 11th in Sacramento, California against the Black Ferns.

Life’s Bella Vogel
The Eagles enter the 2026 season looking to build on a resilient 2025 campaign. Last year’s Rugby World Cup saw the team fight through a rigorous schedule going up first against England at the home opener, followed by a defining and thrilling draw against Australia and ending with a bittersweet 60-0 victory over Samoa.
Having been ousted on a points differential forcing them to watch Australia advance to the quarter finals, feelings of unfinished business are sure to surface in Kansas City when USA take on Australia as the 8th ranked Eagles look to upset the 7th ranked Wallaroos – this time on home turf. The same PAC4 fixture last year, hosted in Canberra saw the Wallaroos take a narrow win 27 to 19 points.
The Eagles will face all opposition at home soil finishing the series with a North American rivalry in Chicago on April 24 against a World #2 ranked Canadian side.
USA fans can come cheer on the Eagles and to help build the home crowd advantage with tickets for all three matches still available at https://usa.rugby/pac4.
