Earlier this month, 26 players traveled to Brazil to represent the USA Rugby Women’s U23 Team in the Americas Rugby Trophy. At an average age of 21 years old, the USA U23s tied the Brazil Women’s Senior National Team and beat the Colombia Women’s Senior National Team. The tour was an invaluable opportunity for players to test themselves in an international environment, and head coach Katie Dowty is pumped for this group’s trajectory.
“They put the rugby world on notice,” Dowty said.
