Virginia Tech has featured in the previous two College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) Division I Spring 15s Championships, but this year has switched to CRAA’s fall 15s competition. It’s a departure from the team’s spring-based conference, Blue Ridge, and thus the Hokies operate as an independent team in the eyes of the playoffs. Virginia Tech takes an at-large berth to the post-season, which begins with a Nov. 12 play-in round.
