Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) has released its 2026 regular-season schedule for its second year in operation. Opening weekend is May 2-3 and all six founding teams will be on the pitch for Week 1. July 25-26 marks the final week of the league-wide round robin, and then the post-season will follow. Details on playoffs and the championship have not been announced. The six teams play their league mates home and away, amounting to a 10-game season with five home matches and five away matches. Four teams are returning to their 2025 venues (see below). The Bay Area Breakers have left Lodi, Calif., for Sacramento’s Heart Health Park, while the Chicago Tempests will be at Benedictine University in Lisle, approximately 30 miles southwest of the city.

Chicago Tempests: Benedictine University, Lisle, Ill.

Denver Onyx: Infinity Park, Glendale, Colo.

New York Exiles: The Stadium at Memorial Field, Mt. Vernon, N.Y.

Twin Cities Gemini: TCO Stadium, Eagan, Minn.

New York and Boston will once again play the very first game of the 2026 season on Saturday, May 2, with the match being held in Quincy, Mass., at 5 p.m. ET. TC Gemini will travel to Chicago Tempest for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff in Lisle. On Sunday, reigning champion Denver will head to the Bay Area Breakers for a 4 p.m. PT kickoff in Sacramento.
