Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) is now accepting applications for the Director of Rugby Operations and Director of Commercial roles. These are full-time, salaried positions. The new professional women’s rugby league is seeking candidates that are excited to work in a startup league while building the foundation for the future.

WER is the newest women’s professional league on the US landscape. Formed as a single-entity league, WER is focused on delivering an entertaining brand of rugby to the U.S. market and providing the highest standard of rugby available to our players. With the U.S. slated to host the 2033 Women’s Rugby World Cup, all eyes are on WER to set the tone around the sport’s competitive and business success.
DIR OF RUGBY OPERATIONS: The purpose of this position is to oversee the planning, coordinating, promoting, and monitoring of game day operations across the league. They will lead and execute all of the league level events, primarily Legacy Cup games, while assisting with team venue selection, both game day and training facilities. DIRECTOR OF COMMERCIAL: The purpose of this position is to drive the commercial development of WER. This role requires a results-driven leader who can represent WER to fans, partners and other stakeholders to foster a growing base of supporters and maximize revenue. In addition to league revenue generation, this role must be capable of strategic and creative planning in collaboration with other WER personnel to optimize future opportunities.
