USA Rugby has announced the attendees for the Girls High School All-Americans’ (GHSAA) two upcoming assemblies. Click here for The Breakdown’s article on the GHSAA East, and see below for the list of West campers. The updated lists include spell-checked names and players’ home clubs.
Southern California and Washington will send six players apiece to Seattle University from August 2-7. Northern California will account for five of 27 players, while Oregon and Utah have four representatives each. Colorado and Montana will also have one rep each. The majority of players hail from high school club teams.
The West camp skews older than the East assembly, which is hosting both U16 and U18 matches. Several western players are heading cross-country for the U16 portion of the Emmitsburg, Md., camp that takes place from July 26-31.
The All-American West team will play the B.C. U18s for a two-game series on Friday, Aug. 5 and Sunday, Aug. 7. Ten players from last year’s GHSAA team (designated by asterisks below) have returned for the rematches against the Canadians. Stay tuned for more details as they’re made available.
