USA Rugby’s DI and DII College Fall Championship brackets have been released, and berths are being claimed. The first regional action will occur next weekend, Nov. 10. Click here to view both the DI and DII match-ups.
DIVISION I
Division I is nearly complete. Columbia, Mo., hosts the West and pits Rocky Mountain champion Air Force against Texas champion Sam Houston State in the Nov. 17 quarterfinals, while Midwest champion Minnesota and Big Ten champion Notre Dame square off for a berth to the Nov. 18 semifinals.
The East begins a week earlier, Nov. 10, to contest two play-in games: Northeast runner-up, determined this weekend, will host Navy and then face Davenport on Nov. 17; and Big Ten runner-up will host Allegheny’s Kent State, and the victor will play the Northeast champion in the quarterfinals. The East bracket will evolve at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
DIVISION II
Several teams have already booked their spots in the Round of 32, while Rocky Mountain’s two teams are guaranteed Round of 16 berths. There are several DII conference championships occurring this weekend – Great Waters, Ohio Valley, Tri-State, Upstate New York, to name a few – that will fill out the majority of spots.
