The 2019 Girls High School Club National Invitational Tournament (NIT) will occur Friday-Saturday, May 17-18 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The event is organized by the Girls High School Club Championship Committee, and Utah Youth Rugby will host the annual tournament. This year’s event will be held separately from the Single-School NIT.
United is the two-time reigning club NIT champion, winning in Tennessee and Indiana the previous two seasons. Broken Arrow of Oklahoma won the Division II club NIT championship in 2018.
Organizers are planning for two divisions of competition once again and encourage developing programs to travel to a stellar rugby facility and see teams they might not ever face. Games will occur over two days and the championship match will be played in partnership with Major League Rugby’s Utah Warriors, who will be contesting a home fixture.
Teams must apply to participate. Event packets will be available at a later date and interested teams are asked to contact club committee representatives for more bracket and event information.
