Atlantis has brought U16 and U18 Elite teams to the Tropical 7s, and the squads are already on the ground in Orlando training for this weekend’s tournament.

The U16 field is mostly Canadian, and Atlantis is the only team to bring a U.S. squad to the eight-team bracket. There are three veterans to the teal jersey – Sophia Linder (Doylestown, Pa.), Shannon Mahan (North Bay, Md.) and Makenna Tuman (North Pitt, Pa.) – and the majority of the squad is from Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York. There are two western reps in SoCal’s Rena Tinoisamoa and Texas’ Aubrey Crist. See the U16 schedule here.

The Tropical 7s represents a stop on the North American High School 7s circuit, and the Atlantis U18 Elite team will be joined by another eight teams looking for standings points. See the full lineup. There are only two first-time Atlantis players on the U18 team – Fallbrook’s Sammy Stern (Calif.) and Capital’s Lucy Jacobsen (Idaho) – and the remainder of the squad hails mostly from the east coast.
