Press Release — National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) announced a major expansion and relocation of its premier high-performance showcase event, the 2027 All Stars. After two successful years in Atlanta featuring separate men’s and women’s weekends, NCR is responding directly to member feedback by moving the event to warmer weather and a larger, all-inclusive venue.

‍The 2027 Collegiate Rugby All Stars will take place January 15-17, 2027 at Austin-Tindall Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Florida.

The new format combines the Men’s and Women’s All Stars into a single, three-day festival of high performance collegiate rugby, creating the pinnacle event for coach and player development, athlete recognition and premier competition.

The Women’s All Star event will continue to feature both 15s and 7s All Star competitions and will also reinstate the popular Rising Stars 7s division for emerging talent. The Men’s All Star weekend will again feature All Stars and Rising Stars 15s tournaments.

In total, the 2027 NCR All Stars weekend will feature:

Men’s All Stars (Jan. 15-16)
Men’s Rising Stars (Jan. 15-16)
Women’s XVs All Stars (Jan. 16-17)
Women’s 7s All Stars (Jan. 16-17)
Women’s Rising Stars 7s (Jan. 16-17)

Featuring a championship stadium and nine full-sized, grass competition fields, Austin-Tindall provides the infrastructure needed to host all tournaments and more than 1,000 athletes and coaches across one unified weekend.

The event will also serve as a major recognition platform for collegiate rugby excellence. The 2026 Collegiate Men’s and Women’s Players of the Year will be honored over the weekend with additional ceremony details announced during the fall season.

Beyond competition, NCR is developing several complementary events designed to elevate the weekend into a true high-performance rugby summit.

In partnership with FirstPoint USA and Rugby Riot, a concurrent high school showcase tournament is currently in development and is expected to feature boys and girls teams from across the Southeast region. More information on the high school competition will be announced at a later date.

Perfectly positioned just 10 miles from Orlando International Airport, Austin Tindall Sports Complex drops you straight into the heart of Florida’s entertainment scene. Attendees will enjoy effortless access to Disney Springs, Universal Studios and Walt Disney World, all just minutes away. This perfect location will deliver the perfect blend of world-class competition, nonstop excitement, and tropical vacation vibes for an unforgettable NCR All Stars experience.

“With more than 1,000 elite student-athletes and coaches together in one location, this event continues to be a must-see recruiting and scouting opportunity for college rugby,” NCR CEO Jeremy Treece said in a statement. “These All Star tournaments are the pinnacle of college rugby high performance, creating meaningful recognition opportunities for top athletes, education and networking opportunities for coaches, and an atmosphere that attracts professional scouts and rugby fans from across the world.”

Additional event details, hotel information, ticketing, and tournament registration timelines will be announced in the coming months.
