The Girls High School National Tournament is scheduled for Saturday-Sunday, May 16-17 at Notre Dame College (Euclid, Ohio) and at present is still on the calendar.

The event falls outside of the 30-day suspension set by USA Rugby, which is revisiting its COVID-19 status on April 12. During this suspension, no USA Rugby-sanctioned events will occur and all rugby activity will not be covered by the third-party liability insurance that the national governing body provides CIPPed members and teams.

Catholic Memorial High head coach John Waliszewski is on the Girls High School National Tournament committee and noted that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended a suspension for eight weeks, putting that deadline at May 9 – the week prior to nationals. Waliszewski indicated that there is a meeting scheduled this Friday with Notre Dame College officials, so expect more information to come as organizing parties continually review data.
