USA RUGBY – USA U20s Head Coach Ricardo Ramirez has named his touring squad for the U20 Women’s Tri Nations Cup taking place July 20-28 at Loughborough University in England.
The USA U20s will face England on July 20 and Canada on July 24 before a winner is decided after the final match on July 28. While a LIVE stream will not be available, score updates will be communicated across USA Rugby’s social media channels.
“We’ve spent the time since camp reviewing a talented player pool. Selections are always a hard activity but we’re excited to see this travel squad compete because they are dynamic and bring a lot to the table on and off the field,” said Ramirez. “Each player has their own flavor as an individual that only adds to our collective abilities as a team. These players are excited to represent their country and we as a staff cannot wait to see the next generation of Eagles.”
Selections for the Tri Nations Cup come after the USA Under-20s concluded a June preparation camp with the NSCRO All-Stars. From last year’s Tri Nations Cup, four USA U20s moved on to make their senior national team debut including Tiana A’au, Emily Henrich and Olivia Ortiz in 15s and Lauren Thunen in 7s.
The Under-20s program has long been an important selection vehicle for USA Rugby’s national team programs and as such relies on monetary support from the community to help lower costs for players selected for assembly. To make a contribution to the future of USA’s National Teams, click here.
