Injury Rules Out Kelter From RWC 7s

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Under the direction of team medical staff, Alev Kelter will remain out of competition for Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018. Kelter has been continuing recovery from an injury sustained during the 2017-18 season and will continue to support the group from the bench throughout the tournament.

In her stead, Kelsi Stockert has been activated and will travel to San Francisco tomorrow. Stockert last suited up for the 2017 Dubai Sevens tournament where she came off the bench to score in the Women’s Sevens’ upset over New Zealand.

The Women’s Eagles Sevens will face China in the Round of 16 on Friday, July 20 at 12:34 p.m. PT, LIVE on NBC Sports Gold. A limited number of tickets are available: rwcsevens.com/tickets.
