Allegheny All-Star 7s team

The Allegheny Rugby Union (ARU) has an existing relationship with the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) and announced that starting with the fall 2020 season, its Division I and II teams will now align with theNSCRO-created National College Rugby Organization (NCRO).

The ARU operates a hybrid conference for its women’s colleges in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia. Its nine small colleges have been active members of NSCRO and the organization’s all-star opportunities. Its five DI and DII colleges had competed in the USA Rugby structure, but with the national organizing body’s bankruptcy, the ARU has consolidated under NSCRO. The small college organization created NCRO for larger schools, which will compete in an Open Division:

Kent State

Indiana University of Pennsylvania

University of Pittsburgh

West Virginia University

Youngstown State

The existing NSCRO teams:

Allegheny College

California University of Pennsylvania

Clarion University

Fairmont State University

Gannon University

Grove City College

Robert Morris University

St. Vincent College

Thiel College

Allegheny marks the fifth conference to move its DI/II teams under the NCRO umbrella, joining Great Waters, Illinois, Northern Lights and Upstate New York. Click here for a combined map of NSCRO and NCRO teams, which is updated as conferences announce their adjusted alignments.
