Atlantis will have a huge presence at the New York 7s, the annual international tournament that occurs on the Saturday after Thanksgiving on Randall’s Island. The select side program always brings multiple sides throughout its age grades, but this year will see four girls’ high school and women’s teams compete for titles.
Forty-eight players from 16 states will fill Premier, College, High School Elite and High School Open teams. The Premier and College sides haven’t been split in two yet, as 18 of the 24 selections are new to Atlantis. They will be coached by Kate Daley and Tom Feury. The High School Elite team has just one rookie – Aeden Myles of West Carroll, Md. Head coach Josie Ziluca and squad will be looking for its fourth tournament title in five years. And half of the High School Open side is new to the teal jersey. Kate Flanagan will lead the Open side.
