Belmont HS Battles for 8th MA Title

Belmont HS rugby

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association (MIA) has only known one champion since girls' high school rugby became a varsity sport in 2017: Belmont High School. But that is not to say that every season is pure domination over the competition. Even the Marauders, which ran with approximately 65 players this year, have to adjust to big graduating classes and reload leadership positions. Thus, the team set a goal of just getting to the state final – a goal achieved, surpassed and relabeled as the eighth-straight championship run. [lead photo . . .
