The Charlotte Cardinals girls’ high school rugby team is in its second season, which is culminating with a trip to the club 15s national tournament at Warren Wilson College (Swannanoa, N.C.) Friday-Saturday, May 19-20. The Cardinals enter the championship as the two-time reigning North Carolina 15s champion, but don’t harbor the pressure that sometimes comes with representing the host state or local power.
