
The Senior Club Rugby National Council is accepting nominations for its standing committees, and the submissions are due by Friday, Aug. 28. The following can be found on the council’s temporary website:
Nominees to the Senior Club Rugby National Council’s standing committees may be submitted by unions or individuals. Per the Council’s Terms of Reference, those endorsed by unions will be the first people considered for positions (“The Council will be the first body to nominate at-large Standing Committees members, followed by a public nomination process.“).In order for a candidate to be nominated, there are two nomination forms:Committee Individual (Self) Nomination Form-This form is for individuals to fill outCommittee Union Nomination Form-This form is for Unions to fill out if they have already collected candidates via their own process-This form will be distributed to Union representatives on the Council via emailSubmissions for both forms are due by August 28, 2020 at 5pm Pacific (?).For individuals that submit a self nomination form the candidate’s nomination will be sent to the Union President for endorsement daily between 4pm-5pm CST until nominations close. The deadline for endorsement of self nominated individuals is the same as Union President Nominated individuals.If a Union President has already distributed their nominations to committee chairs they are not required to resubmit the nominations.Committee Chairs all have an assigned folder where all nominations collected by either form will be put. Committees will present their slate of candidates as soon as they are ready for ratification, potentially starting as soon as September 1, 2020. Candidates will be evaluated by each committee chair and at least one outside party (that will not be a member of that committee) to confirm candidates’ fitness for the committee against the committee’s desired qualifications.
