The USA will take on the Wallaroos on their home turf in Canberra’s GIO Stadium on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 4:55 p.m. ACT (2:55 a.m. ET), live in the USA on RugbyPass TV.

The USA Eagles arrived in Australia last week following a strong performance in their opening Pacific Four Series match against Canada in Kansas City, where attendance records were set and the squad established a strong platform for their 2025 campaign. The team has since been based in Canberra, where they have worked through a robust training block targeting an improved performance from the previous years’ seven-point victory over the Wallaroos. The fixture will have a heightened impact as the USA and Australia will again face off in pool play later this summer at the Rugby World Cup.

Fukofuka has named a largely consistent squad, reflecting the positive momentum and strength of the team in their last outing with one change to the starting XV that sees Tess Feury step into the starting lineup as fullback.

“We have a great playing group and they have really lived up to our team values and high performance standards,” Fukofuka said. “There is real competition for roster positions and the selection decisions are close. The players selected are being pushed hard to keep their jerseys and being prepared well by the non selected members. All this breeds confidence in the team to perform on Saturday.

“The focus for the past fortnight has been on building on the positive performance against Canada,” he added. “We were happy with our ability to compete under pressure with the world number two for 70 minutes. However, we have also identified missed opportunities that could have influenced the back end of the game. We have channeled the positive energy and identified the privilege it is to have high expectations, and worked hard on our set piece, our kicking game and our ability to transfer that pressure on to Australia.”

The Wallaroos vs. Eagles test will be the opening act to a double-header with Super Rugby teams ACT Brumbies — home team to USA Women’s Eagle Keia Mae Sagapolu — and the Queensland Reds — also with USA representation from Charli Jacoby.

The match will be broadcast on Stan Sports in Australia and will be available on RugbyPass for American and International audiences.
