Washington, like many states, is still trying to find its pre-Covid form, and for Rugby Washington the spring 2022 season was an intermediate step toward that goal. Girls’ high schools started with 10s, because that’s what the numbers allowed, and competed in more of a festival circuit, because that’s what resources allowed.
