Last weekend was supposed to see leagues in California, Texas and Florida and get into league play, but pandemic concerns postponed many collegiate and senior club games. Two Arizona universities, however, were able to contest their DI Pacific Desert conference season, as Arizona State traveled to nearby Grand Canyon for Saturday’s opener. The Lopes won 60-10, and both teams celebrated the long-awaited return to the pitch.
