When Maddie Doyle tuned into the 2016 Rio Olympics and first saw rugby, she was looking at the game of 7s as someone who had never played a sport before. But something appealed to the then-sixth grader, and fortunately for the Pennsylvania native, a quality rugby program – the Doylestown Dragons – was located nearby. So began a rugby journey that most recently tracked through the USA U18 Winter 15s Camp in Chula Vista, Calif., and her desire to play has taken a more competitive turn.
