American Rugby Pro Training Center (ARPTC), the country’s premier high-performance environment for women in the U.S., announced its closure to members in December, and then to the rugby community through the U.S. Women’s Rugby Foundation (read more). Co-founder Dr. Julie McCoy was charismatic life force behind the Little Rock, Ark., enterprise, but she asserted that ARPTC wouldn't have experienced any success if it wasn't for the ground-floor staffers who bought into and drove the vision.
