The Midwest High School Thunderbirds (“Baby Birds”) planned its most ambitious rugby tour to date, taking close to 100 players and family members to New Zealand for a 15s tour in June. It was a massive undertaking, and head coach Garrett Fisher attributed much of its success to the organizational acumen of assistant coach Stephanie "Parma" Bowers.
