MVP Barner & ‘Staying in the Fight’

The College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) Division I had an unfortunate ending and was called at halftime due to weather. Nevertheless, Life University Women's Rugby was crowned champion after a building a 40-14 lead against BYU, claiming the first of three titles it's chasing this spring. Championship MVP Azhinaye Barner acknowledged the disappointment of a shortened finale, but leaned on the team's performance-rooted mantra to celebrate the positives.

 

 

"It definitely means a lot to the team," Barner said of the title win. "We were all devastated . . .
