National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) announced its 2026-27 competition calendar for its women’s membership. The season includes 15s national championships in December, 7s and 15s all-star tournaments in January, and 7s national championships in April. [lead photo: Jackie Finlan / TRB]
The 15s regular season kicks off Sept.1, featuring the much anticipated return of Friday Night Rugby. For the women, there are four consecutive matches between Sept. 25-Oct. 23 and games will be live-streamed on NCR TV.
The 15s postseason begins Nov. 13-15 at four regional locations: Canton, Mass.; Rock Hill, S.C.; Indianapolis, Ind.; and Springfield, Mo. The victors from the four different divisions then move onto the national championship stage on Dec. 4-6 in Houston, Texas. The men’s national 15s championship follows on Dec. 11-13 in Houston as well.
After the winter break, NCR moves into select-side mode, and two exciting changes have been made for the 2027 Collegiate Rugby All-Stars Weekend on Jan. 15–17. The location has moved from Atlanta to Orlando, Fla., and for the first time, the men’s and women’s all-star tournaments will occur on the same dates and location. The women’s 7s competition will feature conference-based teams in two tiers of play, and then the 15s all-star event returns for its second year.

The Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC) National 7s occurs April 24–26, 2027, in Boyds, Md., once again. Like the all-star weekend, this event features both the men’s and women’s competitions, welcoming 144 teams and approximately 2,500 athletes and coaches to the Maryland SportsPlex.
