The College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) has reworked its women’s Division II Fall 15s Championship bracket. The post-season still begins with Wild Card games, but that round is now a Saturday-Sunday affair. The Nov. 19-20 regional championships occur at Navy, but the purpose there is to name a single semifinalist, which will join three teams that advanced directly to Matthews, N.C., for the Dec. 3-4 Fall Classic.

The original bracket was straight-forward. But heading into November, host sites for regional playoffs had not yet been secured. Those mysteries were answered on Friday, Nov. 4, when a reworked bracket emerged:

The championship weekend is now a semifinal/final weekend, and three conference champions advance directly to Matthews, N.C. Semifinalists Colorado School of Mines (Rocky Mountain #1), Coast Guard (New England Wide #1) and Tri-State champion (named Sunday, Nov. 6) can book travel for Dec. 3-4.

The fourth semifinalist will be named after four rounds of playoffs. On Nov. 12-13, four conference runners-up report to Fairfield University in Connecticut for the Wild Card round. The team that goes 2-0 advances to the Nov. 19-20 playoffs at Navy. There, Colorado Mesa State (Rocky Mountain #2), Providence College (Rugby Northeast #1) and Temple (Mid-Atlantic #1) await. The team that goes 2-0 advances to the semifinal/final weekend in North Carolina.

Stay tuned for an update on Sunday, Nov. 6, when all conference playoffs end.
