The Univ. Northern Iowa (UNI) women's rugby team had a very successful season last year, and that visibility aided one of the largest recruitment classes for the Panthers to date. Most notably, 11 freshmen were high school rugby players. Positive signs abound as UNI defines a new identity, one that has been shaping since the graduation of some key performers, and Saturday’s win against conference rival Iowa State is among those good omens.
